Teaching Grammar
No child likes to study or learn grammar in today's age. A
traditional way of teaching grammar will be not much effective or of interest
to children any more. The development of technology has been growing all over
the world. Computer, laptop and LCD contribute as teaching and learning media.
The children learn in a better way when we use the technology to teach Grammar
in a proper way. One of the compulsory subject offered in the curriculum is
grammar. It is important when we teach Grammar we need to provide teaching
materials from various sources such as text books, workbooks, recordings, CD
rooms, videos, newspapers or any kind of
materials which helps to learn the target language. Grammar is very important
to be learnt so that the language learners learn properly. .Multimedia helps to
learn the language in a more effective manner.

Ikigai
Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for
being."According to ikigai, education is never forced on an individual but
it must be spontaneous, willing and give a sense of meaning to life.It helps
students to find, explore and engage the fundamental issues and tackle those by
developing their potentialities.Once you follow ikigai, you will love what you
do and achieve intellectual, mental and spiritual goals in your life.It raises

THROUGH ACTIVITIES
Mathematics is considered to be a difficult and boring
subject by many students. And with this perspective they don't even try to give
a try to concept. But, if mathematics is taught using activities, the concept
becomes interesting and stays with the students for a longer time.

TRADITIONAL TEACHING
METHOD VS MODERN TEACHING METHOD
Teaching styles have changed significantly over the
years. In traditional way of
teaching, students would sit in silence
when the teacher is teaching. The technique used here to learn something is
through repetition and memorisation. And this means they are not developing the
critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. Where as in modern way teaching involves
interactive methods. The learning here happens completely different by focusing
more on the individual needs of the students rather than assuming students are
at the same level of understanding. The modern way of teaching techniques
includes questioning, explaining, demonstration and collaboration.
However, modern and traditional teaching
methods are both effective and useful in today's education.

Corporal punishment
Everybody has an opinion about corporal punishment, but don’t
you think corporal punishment should end ?
Still wondering what is corporal punishment ?
Anything that brings shame or any physical pain to a student, as simple as making the child
stand up on the bench or asking them to walk out of the class is also corporal
punishment. It all still happens in every school and the teachers are still
unaware of how the simplest things hurts the child, moreover it’s illegal too .
It’s high time teachers of today become aware of how the
simplest of things can impact the development of the child .
Learner-Centered
Teaching
Basically “Student-centered” classrooms include students in
planning, implementation, and assessments. Involving the learners in these
decisions will place more work on them, which can be a good way of learning as
well as teaching. Teachers must become comfortable with changing their
leadership style from directive to consultative changing from the mind set of
"Do as I say" to "Based on your needs, let's co-develop and
implement a plan of action.
Louis de Montfort

Alternative School
A nontraditional school system where the administration
follows neither too strict nor too liberal pathway. Schools such as Prakriya
Green Wisdom (where teachers are referred to as 'aunty' and not ma'am) or The
Valley School are schools following the alternative way. They are placed amidst
nature and both the schools allow the usage of technology in a limited way.
Alternative schools specialize in using varied and
creative ways to teach the material, and their teaching methods are often much
more tailored to each student's learning preferences.
As for the teaching, the schools follow a strict philosophy
of teaching the kid only when he or she is ready.
They provide a safer therapeutic environment and more
individualized attention than traditional schools to children and adolescents
with psychological and behavioral issues.
Each student is paired with an advocate counselor, who
provides guidance and support for individual goal setting in the personalized,
self-paced environment.
